Today we toured Mount Moriah Cemetery where Wild Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane are buried before we left Deadwood, driving west into Wyoming. When we stopped to see Devils Tower. It was rainy and it was shrouded in mist, really making it seem otherwordly, or rather like a movie set. We hiked part way around it and the rain and mist began to clear. We spent the rest of the day driving across Wyoming. When we got outside Grand Teton National Park,we encountered road construction on the only road around (and it was a major highway) - all gravel (no actual road), explosives, boulders blocking it, 1 1/2 hour delays - nothing like road construction we're used to on the east coast!
