the year in review

It was a long winter, mourning my dad's death. I often felt like this leaf...just hanging on.
|
We did finish the basement rec room - I laid all the carpet tile.
|
My younger son turned 13.
|
We took my older son touring colleges over Spring Break, then he turned 17 in June.
|
I had my third basal cell skin cancer (I've found them all myself).
|
We spent 4th of July week at the river house.
|
We had a summer vacation in Orlando...
|
...and in Hilton Head.
|
We had two family reunion s - one for my Dad's side and one for my Mom's.
|
Did a lot of work on those college applications.
|
My son was on the news for the whole DC area for a football tackle.
|
and he earned his Eagle Scout.
|
I've torn my rotator cuff and will have surgery, but not until January.
|
Historic election!
|
My boss' home/office burned the week of the big Ball and all the surrounding events....
|
but the Ball did go on! (and now fire restoration has become another part of my job)
|
Which brings us to the end of the year and a great Christmas.
