Well, we arrived in Ruidoso, New Mexico (pronounced Riadosa by us Texans!) yesterday! The weather is so much cooler than Texas which is nice! We arrived around sunset and it was so beautiful!
Today we went to White Sands which is national park with sand dunes that are completely white! It was really pretty but SO hot because there weren't any clouds in the sky, it was 12:30pm so the sun was right over our heads, and the sunlight reflects right off of the sand into your eyes and on your body. It was tons of fun though and the sand felt really cool once you stepped in it. The temp underneath the surface is around 60 degrees. People were sledding all over and there were even some with sails. It was just like playing in the snow! It was SO hard to take pictures there because we couldn't see anything, it was so bright!
I just noticed that there was a spot on my lenses that show up on the pictures--whoops! :D
We also went to the Flying "J" Ranch for dinner and a show. It was pretty fun. There were lots of cowboys and cowgirls there--made me miss Texas!
Anyone watch Forensic Files?? We saw a van on the way that looked like it could be from one of the cases! creeeepy.....
