When I was a child I never understood why my mom wouldn't just eat and let us eat the batter and forget about the cake. Thanks for this wonderful memory.

Oh, yeah, I am soooo with you there! Usually by the time I get the batter to the pan I need to choose a smaller pan cause there is so little batter left!! Great shot - fun secret!!

My mom wouldn't let us eat raw cake batter or cookie dough when we were little, either, and to this day I just can't eat it. The frosting bowl is a different matter, though. =)

Lord this reminds me of my early years.... at home with mum cooking, we would always fight to get the batter !!!!!
