Dawson played a Yo-Yo Ma piece for his class. He did collect horse hair from the tail of his friend's horse, but the bow was too heavy to use. So he's using his violin bow.

Dawson is learning a new art. He's always had a thing for metal - like he made jewelry and chain-mail link-by-link. Now he's learned to forge and weld. He made the rack for the Jeep at his mentor's house. Now he's doing it at home with home-made equipment until he moves on to bigger and better. For his college music appreciation class, he researched cello dimensions and all about metal and forged/welded a cello that actually plays! Now the 'boys' all want to come a play.
