Christmas

2008.12.24
Travis and Sarah, and then me, in their kitchen.

Dawson. Probably playing with his new wide-angle lens.

Beatrice ...

Monte and Bea play- Monte teasing, and chasing each other all over the place.

Sarah and me with our assembly line for making tamales.

Tamale and jalepeno popper filling and steamer for tamales.

Jalepenos ready to stuff. Notice the gloves- very important!

Finished stuffed jalepenos wrapped in bacon.

Our Las Posadas meal.

Does it fit? "One size fits all" does not apply to my guys.

That first jalepeno bite was "Oh Man!!" and "Luscious"!

My boys love to play with their photography, not caring so much for the perfect pose! This great new digital world.

With slowly finishing off their home, it was time to install another heater, in the guest room.

Perfect pose? We used to throw pictures like these away!

Travis and Bea relaxing, while waiting for the sipping dark chocolate drink being made.

Travis and Sarah's living room.

Monte opening up his present of suspenders.

Monte modeling his new suspenders and the hat he bought for Norway.

"We played this game and wanted it. Thanks!!"

Sarah

Wide angle lens again - playing the game "Set".

Our tree this year.

Heather with their dog, Max, with her and Bill's first Christmas tree, in Texas.

Since Monte was in Norway for a lot of December, Christmas Advent has been quiet. Most of actual Christmas activity was at Travis and Sarah's home where Monte, Dawson and me spent a couple days. We made a Las Posadas meal with homemade tamales and stuffed jalepenos. Periodically I have English "Poppers" for Christmas, that when popped open have a crown to wear and toys and jokes. Heather sent a picture of their first tree. And Dawson captured a picture of our tree - a small one for us! But I'm liking it.
