I sewed some valance curtains for the kitchen that match the eating area windows. We got the kitchen organized and it functions very nicely - I should know since I did a lot of mass cooking and froze a variety of foods for Heather.
Heather wanted the washer/dryer area to be covered so we hung a curtain using a curved shower curtain rod.
