Home is where the ♥ is.....TI

2010.11.23

This house was built in the mid to late 1800's, it was made a home December 30, 2009 when my husband and I purchased it and began to restore it. As you can see it is a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng process.
pixel
There was not a driveway in front of the house, but we have added one...much easier to carry in groceries when you are only a few feet away instead of a few yards...
pixel
The back of our home, the poles were a playhouse the previous owners took with them, the poles will be coming out. The more we look around the more projects we find to do....
pixel
Our Stairs, the gate is to keep a couple of little dogs downstairs....the wheel on the wall was handmade by my Daddy in the Early 1970's using a drill, some ducttape, and some chisels....
pixel
The Centerbeam makes a perfect place to post some family photographs...
pixel
Bathroom Doors
pixel
Heat Source, very warm at times....
pixel
There are several of the tall pines surrounding the house, all at least 20 feet above the peak...
pixel
Our road, looking north.....
pixel
Our Road looking South....
pixel
The one cedar we will be keeping....if only for the swing.....
pixel
My 1st Anniversary Present.....sleeping for the winter season...
pixel
The back yard, to be a pumpkin patch this coming spring....
pixel
A place of soltice, easier to fish with all the little willow trees removed...
pixel
Our Barn....the inner supports are made from cedar logs...
pixel
pixel
Safe guarding a cystern well from the explortatory little nymphs that are my grandchildren.....it will be a solar powered fountain before it is over....or maybe powered by a wind mill as we set atop a hill (small but a hill none the less....
pixel
The Actual owners of the home....they just let us do the work and pay the bills.....Alice stands on the deck, Hercules stands his ground...
pixel
Starting a fire to rid our home of it's chilll.
pixel
Double Insullated fire pipe, this will all be re-painted this sping....looking for color suggestions on the house....
pixel
A place in the yard to set your beer while playing a round of horseshoes....
pixel
A place for tea / coffee / private conversation......
pixel
Guardian of our home from the ravenages of lightening.....
pixel
Feeding the wildlife....
pixel
A secret hiding place.........
pixel
For our wood for our warmth.....Thank you for sharing our home...

Today I get to share where my ♥ lives. It would not do for just one....

The Tuesday Inspiration” began in 2009 when two PB members started setting each other a challenge on a… Tuesday. Very soon afterwards, it was decided to open this up to other PB members, followed by the idea that we should not reveal what the subject is, so that other members could compare how different members view a single theme. The Tuesday Inspiration is not a contest or a challenge, but a group of people all agreeing to post their interpretation of a single theme on Tuesdays. Each week, one of the contributors sets the theme. There are now over 40 members contributing to the TI. We have only two “rules”: don’t include the subject in the TI title or tags and please comply with standard PB guidelines on courtesy, etc. If you would like to take part, please contact url=http://www.photoblog.com/girafferacing/2010/11/23/]Helen[/url]

Other ♥'s can be seen here. Enjoy!!!
