Beauty Amid Destruction May 22 ~ 141 of 365

May 22, 2011 found destruction to a local community about 200 miles west from my home. Destruction is everywhere and yet when I stepped onto my deck the beauty of the sky was amazing.
Sometimes beauty is sad.

Very pretty shots! Storms do create a beauty of there own, so sad about the devastation in MO though.

Beautiful skies, Karman. I'm in KC...just heard the news awhile ago...sounds very bad. Used to live in Joplin....sending hopes and prayers....

What a contrast between beauty and devastation. Coming from a country where the weather is relatively benign it's hard to comprehend the power of tornadoes.

These are truly gorgeous, Karman. My nephew and his family live in Joplin, but (thank the Lord!) they weren't in the damaged area. It missed them by half a mile! Thanks for the sweet sentiments for all of them.
