Back onto night shift this week which usually means I don't get out much at all. So thought I'd take my small point & shot to work with me and share my night shift with you. Guessing (hoping) most people don't know what goes on in an Emergency Department. Todays photos are not great quality, got to get the settings right on the camera. And this is more just about sharing my night with you. And I've got 6 more nights to practice. Hope you enjoy the nights....

I really enjoyed this set, Kaz. I can only really react emotionally to this set - having spent a good 8 hours in emergency in November, before being hospitalised for 5 days, I really now have so much more of an understanding and appreciation for what goes on behind the scenes. It's one thing to see it, it's another thing to be one of those patients needing morphine and drips and so on... I admired so much the nurturing and caring skills of the nurse who looked after me, as much as I did her nursing skills. ive often thought id LOVE to go in with my sister for a night and snap away. This was a great idea kaz. seeing as you got permission, can you take the dslr in? What was the reason for using the p&s? These shots have a real feel to them, but your slightly limited by the p&s's handling in lower light....unless of course that was the look you were going for. In which case ignore me..lol..im not critiquing..just inquiring ;) regardless, you do an amazing job and these serve to highlight your work!..Looking forward to seeing more. focussed · 2008-04-29: 09:39
