Chicago Day 4
… or December is one of my favourite months – just not in the month of October - - NBC5 Weather man
Today we met up with another of the group of friends, adding more victims as we go along.
I decided to be anti-social, and go downtown to go shopping for Hallmark Ornaments (without much success)
Instead, I went up the Johnson Observatory… 94 floors up, non stop.
Now I would publish the photos from this today, but I’m going to fill this blog with pictures of snow and Americana today.
Today’s interesting note – on the El back to the hotel… and this guy missed his stop.. so obviously, he pull the communication cord…. And jumped out of the train. He survived and was ok, but is it worth THAT much to miss a stop?
So onto the photos
1 – The flag
2 – Snow on the roof the hotel
3 to 5 – More Snow
6 – It melts…. It’s melting!!!!
7 – the El. Or if the HSE would call it… the death-trap….
8 - A view from the El.
9 – From City to Lake
10 – Apartments and local accommodation – notice how the access way is made of wood as opposed to metal or something interesting … very safe… I always thought a fire escape would be made of something that won’t burn in a hurry….
More tomorrow - Chicago from 94 floors up
PS There might be some extra taken today, but the real reason why I’,m out here is now coming to the fore, so there will be limited uploads …
