Continuing the theme of examining all things British.
Today: The Postal Service and the Red Postboxes (or Pillar Boxes)

Like most of British society, they have tried modernising it, and fail most times.
The net result is another British icon that has stood the test of time.. and a welcome site when you're popping a letter in the post....
.... only to find it being delayed for a week or so. They joy of Royal Mail.
As the system is expanding. we're finding other operators are opening up, and we might have multiple mail boxes.
They'll have a tough act beating the original.
