Well another day down that i still haven't adjusted to CST comes along.
Today was a bit different, as I was switching hotels (I'm going to a conference/event this weekend so it was a case of finding a hotel that I liked).
After repacking everything i found i had a problem: I'd already filled all my luggage space.
Multiple swearwords ensued.
After dumping the luggage, I went round the Merchandise Mart, and around the loop a few times, going to a comic shop to pick up some Archie books (Yes, I still read them occasionally), and then up to the Sears Tower.
I'm going to be blunt here. If you do go to Chicago.. don't go to the Sears tower. If you like your interactive things, its ok, but i found the staff a bit rude (especially when i wanted my film checked by hand). The views were good, especially over millennium park, but the observation space was smaller, and there were no seating spaces.
Disappointing.
I walked down the city district and went achitecture mad, then picked up my crap, and went on the blue line back to O'Hell and out of city limits to Rolling Medows.
I caught up with some of the event organisers... and got a preview of how things were looking. Next thing, I was roped into helping get stuff set up for the event!
On the plus side, people were recognising as the Mad Brit.
