Thursday: Tour of London part IV - The Mother of Parliaments

2007.05.17

London England.. Home to the mother of all parliaments...

Dating from 1097.. with extensions, bombings and everything in between, this is where the upper and the lower legislator are debated and decides (if out Prime Minister hasn't leaked it via a spin doctor first)

One of London's biggest icons is at the Houses of Parliament - Big Ben. Now please bear in mind Big Ben is the bell that chimes on the hour... NOT the name of the tower (the tower itself is called "The St. Stephen's Tower")

So... onwards to Tower Bridge (for Fenchurch Street and the DLR)

Your wiki references for today :
Palace of Westminster
St Stephens Tower and Big Ben
