Spending his formative years in two of the artistic capitals of the United States (New York & Los Angeles), Hiro-a-key grew up immersed in a fusion of Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul and many other types of music.
Being bilingual (Japanese/English) it is natural for him to be multi-cultural, open minded and diverse, which leads to his unique song writing and vocal skills. After releasing 2 original albums and 2 compilation albums as a front man performing all over Japan, he also starred in the TV series “Sesame Street” Japanese Version as “Hiro” utilizing his language and singing/ dancing abilities.
After traveling around Europe he is back.
Linking with artists, musicians, and djs all over the world, he performed with artists such as; fat jon (five deez/ Rebel Clique), DJ Paul Murphy, DJ Tei Towa, Instrumental Hip Hop Band diyTokion, Human Beat boxer Afra, Jazz Ambassador Harvey Thompson etc.
His soothing songs that emphasize his smooth voice and the rhythms of Japanese and English should be a breath of fresh air to the scene.
He is currently working on an album to be released from Village Music/Persona Records [Sony Jazz] in Nov. 2009, and will be showcasing some of his upcoming project in HK.
