Did you change only the background of #1 into b/w? I think this is very effective. I love the composition of the second too :)

Looks like I wont post my "Color-Black & whites" for a few days. I like the color of her face and hair against monochromatic background and I think I see some color in her socks and shoes as well. Good job.
