For the last 2 years my sisters and I have said "let this year be cancer free" - maybe this year we will get our wish. In January 2006 we lost our dad to lung cancer before we even knew he was sick. In February of 2007 we lost our grandfather to lung cancer also - his had spread to his brain and he didn't have much awareness/memory about anything. So, this year, please be cancer free.
(sorry for such a depressing topic to start the year; something cheerier tomorrow)
