this was a day in the city. We had several appointements with real estate agents to look at apartments close to the beach. We started the day in a small cafeteria to have breakfast.

the appointments with the agents and the apartments we looked at where disappointing and depressing for me. Since i work from home my working and living space is very important for me. I need light and rooms that have space and some kind of character. I understand that it will be almost impossible here to find something that i like and i have to get used to what is available here.

it was a stressful day and we were very tired, but it felt good to do something and try to find a solution for our situation. There are some interesting developments that give us hope. Around us there is this holiday life on a holiday island - or so it seems - , but i´m sure not everybody walking along the beach is happy and has an easy life. It´s an illusion to assume that just because the sun is shining and it´s warm life is easier here then anywhere else.

one of Esther´s experiments with a new technique. I enjoy the results very much and Esther had fun playing with the camera today.

in the afternoon we picked up the teenager at her college. A hot wind was blowing sand through the valley and we were happy when we finally were back home again. It was quiet for the rest of the day and we are grateful.

Beautiful and evokes a moodiness, as always. I particularly admire the contrast of metal with the softer background. And I like Esther's technique in #8 -- do tell! -Jan
