Mobile Telephones

2008.01.15

Here in Lagos, mobile phones are a really big thing. Even though people have to pay about 2 or 3 times the original price for mobile telephones, most of the Lagos population owns one. Many of the people on the streets like selling "recharge cards" that credit your GSM number so you can make calls. The phones networks here aren't even that great and we all suffer from bad quality calling. People are cut-off, networks are busy and voices are chopped very often when calling others. The phone towers of the GSM companies swarm Lagos and make the skyline very distorted.
