Reminiscing Miag-ao

2009.07.27
The facade of Miag-ao Church... a lot of my childhood memories actually happened in this place.

The gold-plated altar

The side of the church, where my father and I had a good time together singing and playing the guitar.

Viewing the inside structure.

A closer look at the details.

My father used to head the renovation of Miag-ao Church, a two-century old catholic church made of adobe stones and egg white. In fact, its unique architectural design is being adored by thousands of tourists from all over the world. In 1993 it was included in UNESCO’s World Heritage list under the title “Baroque Churches of the Philippines.”
