A moment in time...

2008.09.30

If you have not been watching Tina Fey do her impression of Sarah Palin on SNL, you are missing out on why SNL is still relevant, and why Tina Fey got her Emmy.

Part of the reason I write this blog is to document of point of time, both in my personal life, but also in all of our lives. With that in mind, how will Sarah Palin be remembered? Will she fade into obscurity if McCain loses the election, or will this propel her into the limelight and give her a future in the national party?

And god forbid, if McCain wins this thing, will she actually become president one day? Scary thought.

It is amazing to me that anyone would be willing to vote for the Republican ticket, given her lack of experience and his age. I understand that VP is largely a ceremonial position, and that she would be fine with those duties, but what if McCain were to die in office? If you can in good conscious say that she would be able to take over at a moment’s notice, please leave MY country now.

Just because Alaska is only 50 miles from Russia (a fact that most Americans don’t even know), doesn’t mean that the Governor of Alaska has foreign policy experience. Let’s hope the debate goes as well at the Katie Couric interview.
