I couldn't get over how tame they were, people were cycling past within 5 feet and they didn't even flinch.

A shot of the town from about 1/3 of the way up... there were some big clouds out while I was on my way up so the picture isn't a clear as I'd like it to be..

A side view of the back of the mountain. The one in the backgound is Cascade (the big one we can see from the living room), that's one of the two big ones we're hoping to climb by the end of the summer... it's an estimated 8-9 hour round trip.

I wish the girl who took the photo wouldn't have cut the tops of the mountains off... Mom, we'll just have you heli-lifted up to play photographer if you come out for a visit.

There were more elk buddies in town on the walk home.
Climbing the mountain twice in two days wasn't the greatest idea. Going up was fine but the descent killed my left knee... it started off as a dull ache but by the time I got home I was in agony. I won't be doing any more climbing for awhile, judging by the bruising and swelling I'm guessing it's sprained.
