I picked one of the hottest days of the year so far to visit Coney Island for the first time. The reason we went was the annual Siren Festival, a free concert put on by the Village Voice paper. Noted acts that we caught included Beach House, Ra Ra Riot and Broken Social Scene. Afterwards, we strolled the boardwalk and got a delicious and overpriced meal at a Russian restaurant in Brighton Beach.
