Girl Scout cookie collection

I love love love Girl Scout cookies. Well, really, the idea of them. I always order tons of boxes of them every year, and then we end up throwing away a lot of them because they go stale before I have a chance to eat them. And it seems to me like every year they never taste quite like how I remember them tasting. The peanut butter in the Tagalongs, especially, tastes different to me than it did when I was younger.
Did you know that there are different Girl Scout cookie regions? Apparently there are two separate bakeries that make the cookies, although why they don't just all call the cookies the same name, I don't know. When we lived in Minnesota, the cookies were made by the other bakery, so the cookies had different names. The Tagalongs are called Peanut Butter Patties and the Samoas are called Caramel deLites. I discovered this when I bought some cookies out there and then bought more on a trip back to Michigan. I was very confused until I did some research.

I didn't know the cookies were made in different places either... I guess I never paid attention because it seems like they change the names so often. Do you put your cookies in the freezer?! That's what we do!!
I have always purchased way too many boxes too. This year is the first time we actually ate them in a timely manner. I have tried in the past to freeze some. Can't leave them too long in there either....
