A Brownie Scout was the first camera I ever picked up. It had been my father's. He'd used it while serving in the Army in Korea during the war. I soon developed a real knack for a hobby that has now become my passion.
My sister has that camera now so of course I searched for one which I found in great condition. I will go back to using that camera even with all the photographic equipment I have acquired over the years because it's what sparked the fire in me.
I have always had a passion for photography & having a real eye for the end result! Quick on the shutter & great at anticipating the candid shot. Having since graduated into more sophiscated equipment & finally even giving into the digital age, my abilities are continually being challenged. B&W, wet plate & dark room techniques have been learned & still preferred over digital. Robert Capa, Eugene Atget & Ansel Adams are people I have always considered artistic phenoms with the limited equipment that was available during their time.
My preferences to shoot are: candid, events, macro, nature, people..... & the list goes on. I love to sit on a park bench or door stoop and randomly shoot with my 300-500mm lens. The results have been some of the best and my favorite candids. I am now in the process of launching my website soon in early 2012 and will be using a name to be posted here and the link after it is. So.... keep checking and thanks for stopping by in the meantime.

Anytime!
You will find plenty of laughs within my Photoblog. And obviously I'm so artificially conceited and such a phoney egotist that I would go bananas for any comments you might deposit.

Yes. Even just this one shot made up for it. I wish I had taken it. I even played with it in Photoshop. I need to borrow some of your friends.
