These trestles support the water trough that carries water to the water wheel.

The waterwheel at the right of this picture is an "overshot" type, where the water falls over the top of the wheel, and gravity plus the force of the falling water cause it to turn.

Brenda and I went to College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri, last winter. These are a few of the shots we took there.

I love #1 and #3, the water is so beautiful! I really want to try getting a shot like that, I just need to find somewhere nearby with falling water. Your shots are perfect, something to aim for!
