Gorgeous set of photos! I've always wanted to go to one of these. There is one held not too far from here every year in PA...maybe next year.

What a lovely and intriguing set. The tavern maid looks like a jolly romp, but I was curious about the Sheherazade duo. The whole event seems like a hoot. Did you know that the Beatles' song "Yesterday" was actually adapted from an early Renaissance menuet? I think this is one of Sir Paul's few cases of plagiarism. You can even sing the ancient words to his modern tune. The first verse goes like this: Leprosy, Bits and pieces falling off of me, I'm not half the man I used to me, Oh, I believe in Leprosy. The second verse refers to a disease brought from the New World to the Old and may not be quite in keeping with the charm and interest of your post.

Wow!!! Fantastic shots - you really caught the fun and excitement!! They're all so wonderful it's so hard to choose favorites...but I really do like #s 1, 4, and 10. Also love Dark Angel and mama...lol. Great post - well done!

Aren't they fun? We have a festival here in the fall that runs for 6 weekends, I always try to go... love the costumes, well done!
