North to Alaska
2009.06.09
We are spending the week in Ketchikan, Alaska. We flew in yesterday and although, we have been here before, we are awed by the beauty of the area. Ketchikan is an island community that is accessible by air or sea. It’s about 700 miles northwest of Seattle, on Alaska’s Inside Passage waterway. I will post as I can and I promise not to bore you with too many vacation photos!

Wow....awesome!! Wish we were there. All the shots are just gorgeous, but love the angle on the totem pole...also, the eagle. And we're traveling to Kansas this week....not fair.

That Eagle looks a little bit gloomy :) It is amazing, big bird and nice pic and all pics. More, more holiday pics are nice to see !!!!!!!!

Oh, everything looks so amazing. I've wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise forever. Probably will never have the opportunity. Please "bore" me with as many vacation photos as you possibly can!!

I love the Ketchikan airport- you can see all sorts of jellyfish and other siphonophores as soon as you get off the plane and go to the edge of the docks!

Very nice shots! I like totems. Put yours in my fav :-) Too bad forthe eagle blurred... A real beauty yes! I love raptors.
