you know, in portugal a super rare specie of eagle , Iberian Imperial Eagle, that only could be seen in Portugal and spain, is an endangered specie. :( in fact, there were only 2 eagles of this specie in portugal, and in this year one of them was shot! :( we need to save eagles!! :(

This is a beautiful set of photos. I get excited every time I see an eagle. We see quite a few, especially when the salmon are running.

Very nice shot and informative post Betty , In my country the eagle is on distress because of rampant deforestation...the majestic Phillipine Eagle with a wing span of more than 8 feet! 2nd most largest eagle in the world .. Charles Lindbergh called it "Air's Noblest Flier."...and their are only few left as of now...even though there is a reserve forest for them with the global warming i am not sure of their survival.. thank you so much for sharing.. best regards , rob
