Salmon Run (11.11.06)

On the way to Goldstream Park, there is a house with lovely decorations at the front door.

Goldstream Provincial Park lies amid the splendour of an old-growth temperate rain forest. There you can see a world class salmon-spawning stream with thousands of Chum Salmon returning between October and December.

Every autumn, million of Pacific salmon forge their way up the myriad streams of the Pacific northwest to spawn and die. Pacific salmon have always been fishes of mystery.

We were too early to be there because the winter is colder than before. Bald Eagles were more than salmons. Maybe they were as same disappointed as us.

Kids can always find fun.
