well today has already started bad, yesterday my cat gonzo caught a little baby sparrow now i love the birds in my garden and it annoys me that when he catches it he doesnt kill it, i wasnt really sure how bad it was hurt so i took it into my potting shed and put it in a open box and made a comfy bed for it i spent most of the day and night trying to nurse it better but i fell asleep in the early hours and i woke up this morning it had passed on. i hope i did the right thing by trying to help it and that was not suffering but i couldnt bring myself to finish its life. I know cats hunt and all but sometimes i wish they did not its horrible but i guess its just a fact of life

It's a cat's natural instinct to hunt for their food......unfortunately domestic cats prefer their food from a can. They don't know what to do with their prey after they catch them.....usually they will bring it to you looking so proud. Great shots of the rain on your window Little Miss. Heaven is crying too! Great shots...and no you didn't do the wrong thing...you just did what you thought was best...and very kind !! Cats do like to hunt and them play with their catch still they expire, believe me our cat gizmo brings things home daily and tortures them til they die.
