We're pretty friendly kinda pups, and we like to say hello to the passers-by. It's a bit hard over the fence, so we figured it would be easier to make some modifications! So while Digby has been staying with us, he and I have engaged in some renovations.

Originally we just removed the one panel, then decided it would be even better if we had one hole each! We were very sneaky about it, and only worked on it when Mum and Dad weren't home.

Unfortunately, our hard work didn't go un-noticed. At lunch time today, Dad came out with his trusty electric thingy-ma-bob and started fixing the fence.

I made the best of the last few minutes of having our precious fence gaps by checking out the neighbours over the road.

Digby made a last-ditch effort at protest...

He really did try...

But all to no avail. The fence was intact again. Our newfound freedom was brutally snatched away! The injustice!
|
Back to peering over the top again.
|
Until Digby made a breakthrough! What a revolutionary idea! This had never occurred to us before!
|
He could have waited until Mum and Dad weren't there though. Our secret is out before it even began! Now there is talk about building a HIGHER fence!!

Digby hid in the palm bushes in shame...
|
But I forgave him. We can't all be geniuses like me I suppose.
|
All the exitement had us both completely worn out for the rest of the afternoon! We had a little nap on the futon together.

Mum took advantage of our sleepyness to get a shot of our wrinkles. Cute, apparently.

Hee hee hee... I wonder how many innocent passersby were scared out of their minds when those two enormous puppy heads popped unsuspectingly through the fence! They must have been a sight to see. Thank you for the update! Looking forward to the next entry. :) Heather in Minneapolis
