New Friends!

2007.11.25
The dog show finished pretty late, so Mum had arranged to stay with some people at their Bed and Breakfast for the night, up at Yandina at the Sunshine Coast. They had two Great Dane doggies! This is Jessie - she is a blue like Luna but really light and kind of silvery - she is beautiful! She's 8 years old though so she doesn't play as much as us young folk.

This is Indy - she is a harlequin and the same age as me!

The people had a nice big backyard to run around in - and we did a lot of that! Indy was so fun, she is very active and likes chasing and jumping and all that fun stuff.

Luna is a bit crazy like Indy, so she ran around with us too. She is only little though, so here is me telling her to calm down a bit - we didn't want any injuries!

Luna managed to get herself covered in mud. This was the less muddy side - you should have seen the other side! Lucky she's not a white doggy or she would have look soooo dirty.

Luna got hosed! Hehe

Ooooh! Water coming out of the hose! I've never seen that before! We have restrictions on our water so we aren't allowed to use our hose at home - but they can use their hose up here, how cool!

Indy and I shared a drink from the hose - yummmm nice cold water!

Luna had to get dried off cos she was so wet.

Time for play again! Wow could Indy jump and twist! She is a very agile girl.

We ducked and chased and ran...

Yay! It was soooo fun!

Luna decided to join in and we sandwiched Indy between us - good teamwork huh!

Apparently it's not easy to wear Indy out - but we managed to make her pretty tired with all our running and playing!

Here we are exploring the backyard again. I wish we had a backyard like this - Mum and Dad say we will one day - I can't wait!

I was sooo hot I had to dunk my head right in the bucket. The BEST way to get cool!

Dad got some lovin from Indy.

Time for a quick game of chasey!

And hide-and-seek...

Then it was time to say goodbye to our new friends. I hope we visit again soon! I like the Sunshine Coast a lot.

Rose Hi, I'm Rose from Canada. I've been visiting Kaya's blog, and it's made me really decide to get a Great Dane eventually. I've wanted to get one, so I started researching a bit and stumbled upon this site! It's a great site, thanks for keeping it updated! :)

Also, where is the Sunshine Coast located? I have a friend from Melbourne.

"Avagudwun" :)

littlekaya Hi Rose - the Sunshine Coast is in Queensland, about an hour's drive north of the capital Brisbane. We live at the Gold Coast which is about an hour south of Brisbane. Melbourne is a loooong way away down south, about 20 hours drive! Mum and Dad have never been to Melbourne, but have been to Sydney and Canberra on the way to going to the snow. I'd love to go to the snow one day!! But not sure how it's ever going to happen!
