Haystack Rock is a 235-foot (72-meter) tall monolith (or sea stack) rock formation on the Oregon coast in the northwestern United States, the third-tallest such "intertidal" (meaning it can be reached by land) structure in the world. A popular tourist destination, the rock is adjacent to the beach and accessible by foot during low tide. Haystack Rock tide pools are home to many intertidal animals, including starfish, sea anemone, crabs, chitons, limpets, and sea slug[disambiguation needed]s. The rock is also a refuge for many sea birds, including terns and puffins.

Love the last one and the angle of #2! So beautiful!! How different out beaches are, I don't worry about logs, high cliffs and rocks! Unfortunately I went to the beach Sunday and when I tried to take some pics found out I forgot to put in my charging battery! lol!

This reminds me of some of the crazy signs around CA... kind of makes you wonder if you want to go near the water! I LOVE that view in the last shot!! What IS that rock? Can you get out there??

OMG....your world is so exciting!! Can't imagine what it's like to experience this on a daily basis. Said it before and I'll say it again....THANKS for taking the time to share this with us landlocked people ;))) Warning signs around here are in reference to mountain lions, bears, and falling rocks, lol :)))

oh, what an awesome place!!! love the foreground in #2, great shot!! Our warning signs are for rattle snakes and mt. lions, so interesting for me to see one for the dangers of the ocean!!!!
