Waterfront Walk

2011.08.07
pixel
This is a steam turbine. It has lots of cool little pieces. Some of which I even photographed separately to post later.
pixel
This is a big honking anchor chain.
pixel
Saw this hot guy sitting on a bench. . . . so I picked him up and brought him home with me.
pixel
This is the Red Eagle. I have photographed it before. I really like this boat.
pixel
Trolly tracks next to the water.
pixel
My favorite red building.
pixel
Black and white Red Eagle. . . well. . . almost.
pixel
The Queen of the West. It is moored right behind my office.
pixel
We went for a wonderful waterfront walk this afternoon.
It was really nice.

smbunation The detail and color is so damn sharp in these. That boat almost pierced my screen... And I love old rusty things like in shots one and two.

MoMac And you took some interesting shots . Tell me is that mirrors on top of the "red Eagle" boat ? What are they used for?

????? Wonderful set! Photo 2 looks like a giant soft pretzel! #4 looks like the boat has had some rough times.... I like your perspective on the trolly tracks... :)
????? · 2011-08-08: 12:09
????? Very beautiful! The fifth makes me think of a haiku that I wrote some time ago:

"Disordered
the grass between the tracks
tightens the trains."

"Disordinata
l’erba tra i binari
stringe i treni."
