This is the view from my aunt's balcony, in a small village called Pezzaze, in the pre-Alps.

The bell tower is from one of the first churches in town, built in the year 400.

The door was locked, but I was able to push open a window to get a peak inside.

It's the tiniest church I've ever seen.

The murals were restored, as best as they could, to original.
|

You can find fountains everywhere. The water runs, unfiltered, from the mountains. Cold and delicious.
