How Much Is Your Gas?

So how much do you pay per litre? For you yanks using gallons, a quick and dirty rough number is divide by 4, that'll get you close enough.

We were talking about the price of gas the other day and I was one of the few (only?) that took the stance that gas is CHEAP! Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy if it was less than what it is. I figure, the cost of searching for it, drilling for it, pumping it, shipping it half way around the world, refining it and then finally trucking it out to individual stations has got to add up, but it's about a buck a litre. And oil equipment isn't measured in the hundreds of thousands, it's in the tens of millions, sometimes billions. I don't think there is any other business that can invest that kind of money and still afford to sell it for so little, and still continue to be one of, if not THE most profitable business in the world. Amazing.
