Shadetree Sto-fen

2008.03.10

Got my regular Photojojo email and in it it had a quick and bodgy tutorial on how to create a flash diffuser for the camera's pop up flash using nothing more than a empty film canister. I whipped one up and tested it out. I was blown away by how well it worked! So then I bodged one up equally as poorly for my 220EX exeternal flash and it worked just as well. Needless to say, I'm a convert. I've never been a fan of using flash but this isn't bad at all.

The full body pic of my dog is without (left) and with (that would only leave the right then wouldn't it?) the diffuser on my 220ex and the close up headshot is using the pop up flash with the diffuser. None too shabby for a empty film cannister eh?

LondonShutter Hey Bush, just go into your local photo lab place and ask for a couple of them. I'm sure they'll have a recycle bin full of 'em.
