Pastel Beach

You know, we actually had sunshine today! Normally in the winter we're covered in a low lying cover of cloud so thick it would make Germany look tropical. Sunshine and blue sky is a rare event. Today it was sunny so I went down to the beach to get a shot of a sunset but as I got there, the cloud started coming back and this was the best I could do, just after sundown.

What's amazing though is this shows how cold it really has been here. This is Lake Erie. Lake Erie!!! Shot from the pier about 150 meters out onto the lake. AND, this shot is showing a south west direction. I was looking for water but it's totally frozen as far as the eye can see! Lake Erie, frozen for hundred and hundreds and hundreds of meters out! I've never seen this before, it's pretty wild.
