Found some dude selling an old Yashica 35mm film SLR with a 50/1.9, a 135/2.8 and flash so I picked it up. So far the camera seems fine except at shutter speeds of 1/60th and slower where the mirror locks up until I take another frame at 1/125th or faster and then it pops back down. Something tells me that's not something the Yashica people desinged in on purpose. Doubly so since the TL-Electro has no mirror lock up feature. No biggie, I can work with the shutter speed issue.
Already taken half a roll and will post a pic or two up if there's no light leaks or something else to ruin the photo's. On eBay a M42 to EOS adapter is under $10.- so I might grab one to try the 135/2.8 on my digital. The 135 is neat because it has auto stop-down so metering is a total non-issue and a built in lens shade - tres cool!
Oh yeah, what did I pay for all this semi-functional goodness? A whopping $14.50 CDN. That's about eleven bucks US. I think I paid too much too ;)
