Awesome set. Thanks for including the history, also. Your editing in the next to last shot even resembles fire...very nice. When we compare this to your past blogs, we can really see how devastating this fire was. It is really sad that such carelessness destroyed so much beauty! Great set, Marsha!

That is devastation. The only time I have ever seen anything like that was Hurricane Hugo in my parents' town. It was as though the area had been through a giant grinder. It took about 15 years to start looking normal. Your photos are, as usual, wonderful and revealing.

sad.... that fires like this happen, but you made a fantastic set out of it, they are wonderfull, for me that second to last one is fab, it looks as if the firer is stll going when looking at the background; B/W's are great to, specialy the last one

It's really sad to look at such a destroyed region, although your pictures are great. It happen every summer here in Portugal and it almost hurts me physically to watch the dead trees with it's black fingers pointing the sky like an accusation.
