I'm glad you don't follow blindly the rules Marsha. I know it's not good to feed wild animals because they should keep away from populated places, but in special situations like snow storms when they can't find anything to eat people should act in a way to save them not to condemn them to starvation, even if that means to bend the law...What's more important after all ? If you don't do it regularly it will be the best compromise. How could somebody say NO to the face in #2 :) ??? ! This is a very special post. Great pictures and story. redro · 2011-01-04: 15:59

Amazing shots, Marsha! You are so lucky to live in an area where these wonderful animals and others come right up to your house! They are gorgeous. Great captures, all of them, but especially the shot of the fence jumper! We get deer every day foraging in our deer feeder, I mean compost pile!!
