Hello friends...as most of you know we evacuated to a campground about 30 miles from home yesterday because the huge wildfire was just getting to close to town.

This is what I viewed this morning....no smoke....clear air in all directions! I walked around snapping a few shots and was kept company by a couple friendly gulls and a fat chipmunk :)))

The fire continues to grow and no good news for our town at this time. However, there are rain clouds and storms popping up all over the area - hopefully one of these rainstorms will find it's way over the burn area and let go!!!

Thanks so much for the prayers, positive energy, and concerns. Your comments are treasured by me - wish I could answer them and let you know how much I appreciate but my internet connection time under the current circumstances is minimal.

Well these are certainly all beautiful shots... I'm glad you are in a better place! I have a friend vacationing here (in Michigan) who left their home in Colorado Springs 2 days BEFORE the fire started.
