In France, one will find more than one cathedral called Notre Dame. The one in these pictures is found in Reims. Now, if you think of French history, and all the kings that France has had in its past, you might think their coronations were held in Paris, the capital, perhaps in the Cathedral of Notre Dame found there on the Île de la Cité in the middle of the city. Mais non, mes amis, all those kings and queens were crowned in the Cathedral of Notre Dame located in Reims instead. This is also where our little Joan of Arc played such a legendary role in French history.
This, like so many other French cities and towns, has such a nice old town quarter, but the cathedral is a jewel to see.
I thought I would have a little fun with the sepia tab and see what effects I could make with it and a little blurring on the edges. I like the effect.
Of course, I kept the original shots as well so as to have both options ;-)
