In this building,

lies Napoléon I, Emperor of the French.

near his only son and heir, Napoléon II.

Napoléon Bonaparte, nephew of the first Napoléon, was to become at first the President and later Emperor of the French as Napoléon III. He is buried in England with his wife and son, the last Prince Imperial of France.

Les Invalides, resting place of Emperor Napoleon I, and his son, Napoleon II, King of Rome, Prince Imperial and Duke Reichstadt. His father died on St. Helena, and the young one-time heir, who was to live almost all of his life in exile in his mother's home of Vienna, was to die there at only 21.
His remains were brought to France in 1940 to lie near those of his imperial father at Les Invalides in Paris.
Napoleon III is buried in Hampshire, England, the country where he lived after being exiled from France in 1870. He died three years later.
(As for the last three photos, the darkness in the crypt and museum caught me unprepared with the camera I had with me, hence, the poor quality.)
