I seem to have a penchant for venetian blinds. There is a reason, and actually a story, behind that, but we won't go into it now.

Look! Yet another pointy building in Stuttgart!

Interesting perhaps. Striking, maybe, but not only a waste of space on one floor, but many! Don't see many desks, offices or even people in these areas and it is 11:00 on a busy workday morning.

How narrow can you design YOUR building?

Oh well, it keeps architects, builders, construction workers, glass-makers, and window cleaners in business and jobs are necessary. And heck, it gives me something to critique and take photos of, so it ain't all bad. ß^D

Visited a new colleague at his office the other day. When I looked out of his window, I found the accent of the venetian blinds on the angular buildings and streets below quite appealing. As I walked back to the streetcar later, I snapped the shots of the other building along the way and added to some pics of yet other "original" pointy glass structures I have come across recently. Stuttgart is not lacking in that theme.
In Stuttgart, "modern" is often interpreted by architects as being as obtuse or acute as possible when it comes to angles. They can be quite striking, but enough is enough. More originality and variety in modern German architecture would be appreciated by this photographer.
In the meantime, I may as well accept what is here. :-)

Beautiful set! The sharp angles seem to function as stimulus for the brain, at least where the present conversation is concerned. And where is the waste in that? Good to see you again and hope to see more examples of modern German Architecture!

Really, striking !!!!! #4 the best...looks like a sharp blade, magnified :)... Wouldn't be a waste of space....if...adding some plants/trees...would make it quite beautiful modern "greenhouses" stacked... Don't they have a suggestion box???

Well I like them ALL, so there Scrooge! LOL I see you are back to using your phone which takes magnificent photos with the aid of your superior eye! 8^) I like venetian blinds also... mainly because there is nothing I like less than curtains, so frou-frou!

Thanks for showing all the different angles, I enjoyed all the varieties but the razor sharp edge of #4 is my favorite:)
