Taste of Spring!

2008.01.08
Sparrow on my suet feeder.

It's almost time to add another cake.

Cardinal in the park.

An old railroad bridge over the creek.

Apparently, it's Bob's bridge.

The sign in the distance warns against trespassing. I had to walk past that sign to get the picture. I'm such a badass.

Look yonder comin'... comin' down that railroad track...

The other side of "Bob's" bridge.

The forsythia is confused by the weather, too.

It usually doesn't bloom until late March or early April.

A misty morning view of the church from the park, probably about a mile away.

NOM NOM NOM!

Directly overhead while walking the dog.

A Lanee-inspired close-up.

I love the dewdrops!

Make room for one more!

"Screw you guys, I'm going home."

I don't care if they're flying rats. They're pretty.

The Usual Suspects.

A week ago, I was freezing my tushy off. Today, I sweat it off going for our morning walk. It was one of those mornings that make you happy just to be alive. Birds chirping. Bunnies hopping. Squirrels chasing each other around a tree trunk. The squishy sound of your shoes getting stuck in mud. Until 11:30 when I had to leave for work. It was all downhill after that.

mowestlan You must live in the Midwest...? We had a snow day from school last week and today I walked 3 miles in the park with no coat and a t-shirt/jeans! Ah Michigan...
