Probably only funny to me, Fritz and anyone else who's seen the way a Pekingese moves. Trying to get an 8 inch high dog and an 8 foot high sign in one shot? Not easy. Especially when there's things to be smelled and/or peed on.

We spotted this cutie on our walk. I wanted to bring her home. She wasn't even afraid of the dog. She was on someone's back porch, so I'm sure she belongs to someone, but she's so thin. It breaks my heart to see cats outside like this. With my luck, though, she'd have FeLV or something. I can't risk exposing my kitty-girls to that.

Mystery bird. Maybe some kind of finch? They were very small, about the size of a chickadee, but I can never get close enough to really see what they look like before they flit away.

That bird is called a junco. They also call then snowbirds because they tend to hang around when it's going to snow. So of course, I LOVE them. :)

If I wasn't walking Beav, and wasn't convinced that I'd get shredded carrying her home, and was sure there wasn't some crazy "owner" watching, she'd be in my basement right now (seperate from my girls) waiting for a trip to the vet tomorrow morning. I'm gunshy, though, after the last cat I tried to save had FeLV. :(

I was worried about being branded a crazy bird lady. I'm glad I have Sue to take that title from me. :-P Lorina, I love the mountain view! We're definitely going to have to take a road trip sometime.
