Random Sunday Shots

2008.01.13
Mr. Fuzzybutt.

That looks like it'd hurt.

What looks like blue-ish gray puddles is actually where the frost hasn't yet melted under the shadows of the trees.

:P

Velcro Butt.

Frost. It looks like Margarita Salt.

When I was taking the pictures, I thought it looked like sugar, but after going to Don Pablos.... definitely Margarita Salt.

Wind farm north of Scranton.

Northern Lackawanna Valley. The cluster of highways in the middle are where I-81, I-380 and Route 6 split.

More of the valley.

Boy, are you guys lost!

I'm in a Don Pablo Food Coma. I might not stay awake through this entire post.

Why can't there be one closer than Scranton? It's worth the drive and all, but it makes just going out for dinner into an entire afternoon event. I brought my camera along, but did not take pictures of the food as it would be an embarassment to document just how much it's possible for me to consume. I did get some shots of Northern Lackawanna Valley from a parking lot near the Viewmont Mall while Fritz was in GameStop.

And what the hell is up with the seagulls that live by the Viewmont Mall? It's in the mountains, hundreds of miles from the ocean, and not even terribly close to the Lackawanna River. We don't get them near the Wyoming Valley Mall near home.

ncshutterbug Is there a dump nearby? There are always lots of gulls near a dump. We also see a lot of gulls in the nearby Food Lion parking lot, which also has several fast food places, and there's no dump nearby. Maybe they're just good enough at scavenging that they don't need to be near the ocean? *shrug*

As usual, love the pics!

lorinalynn Scranton mostly is a dump. *rimshot*

But seriously, there's lots of restaurants. Lots and lots and lots of restaurants. Each and every chain restaurant imaginable. But we mostly see them flying above Home Depot. Not that I blame them. ;)
