What a difference a week makes.

2008.01.15
Foggy window. "I can come inside now, please?"

Seed pods with snow.

"Hey, Lady? This weather sucks."

This is his "We can go for a walk now, please?" face. How can you resist?

So many pretty views, obstructed by spiderwebs of power lines.

I was walking along, thinking how nice the weather was last Tuesday, now it was such a "happy to be alive" kind of day, feeling sorry for myself, and I look to my left and see this. I could probably learn a lesson or two from my dog.

Of course, I might not mind winter as much if I had a coat like his. The tail alone is like wearing a stole.

But my complaints are nothing compared to this guy. A robin. In the snow. In January. When it's 27 degrees. I saw a few of them today. Poor little buggers.

The trail in the park.

More twisted Julie Andrews. Snowflakes on wild rosehips.

Snowcone.

Snowflakes on the Beav.

"DO WANT!" Beavis has an obsession with soccer balls.

It's the perfect snow. Just enough to give everything a nice layer of white, but not one flake on the sidewalks or streets.

However, the basketball court, tennis court and even some of the ground in the park is coated with black ice (and green and brown ice, too, I suppose), and I almost wiped out about half a dozen times. I'm just so graceful when I'm trying to stay upright, flapping both arms like a maniac.
